This policy explains what Shelf collects and how it is used. We keep the surface small on purpose.
What we collect
Account data (email, name, optional Google profile image), your username, shelves and items you post, and follow relationships. We also store session cookies required to keep you signed in.
How we use it
We use this data to operate Shelf: authentication, showing your public profile, feed and follow features, and transactional email (verification and password reset) when configured.
Third parties
Infrastructure may include Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email), and Google (optional sign-in). Search for covers uses Apple iTunes, TMDB, and Open Library — queries are sent to those APIs when you search.
Visibility
Public profiles and shelves are visible on the web. You can change profile visibility in settings. Do not post information you are not comfortable sharing under your chosen visibility.
